DID STANLEY CUBE BRICK DIRECT 9/11?
Going back one step, I’ve been trying to understand Kubrick’s deeper attachment to these narratives, and unravel the origin. The chain of evidence of his involvement is compelling, yet I can’t get by - why him? Why Kubrick? Was he simply given the chance to be part of the plan, or is he part of some lineage or tradition that is embedded in creating and weaving these narratives? Because wouldn’t you think, at some point, a crisis of consciousness would kick in? That said – and I’m extrapolating here - how can people have a crisis of consciousness if there is no true clarity on what actually happened in the first place? So maybe he was a part of a larger circular narrative happening.
Interesting point @timozman007 – and to extrapolate (again) a bit further, what’s intriguing is how we are kept mildly sedated by the effect of tv screen. I remember reading an article (or maybe it was something I saw on TV - no pun intended) quite awhile ago about how the refresh rates of the screen (I think) induce a hypnotic effect. My point being, the clues are out there but often missed, even by the weavers of the narrative because everybody’s slightly sleepy.
The monolith is shaped based on prime numbers: 1 x 4 x 9 (this was first noted in the Jerome Agel book on 2001). The movie was shot in SuperPanavision 70mm, which has an aspect ratio of 2.21:1. As pedantic as Kubrick was, he wouldn't have missed this.
As in the movie "Contact", it's far more likely that any alien civilization would communicate in prime numbers, but more, I think Kubrick was more enraptured with the idea of this advanced intelligence that is described in the purity of the first 3 prime numbers.
